I'm writing this from a survivors point of view. First of all I think it's very sad and shocking what has happened but I have been folllowing peoples
comments in various places and I'm disgusted at their 'dissapproval' and blame of the alleged child abuse case. There are so many people out there
who are saying it's (their words) untrue allegations that put a strain on him and killed him, that he is not to blame and it's everyone elses fault but
his. Now I'm not saying he did do anything as no-one knows the truth (as yet, I'm hoping we'll eventually learn whether it did or didn't
happen) but it's so appalling how they are quick to say he didn't do it at all, almost like, now he's dead, we will never know, therefore he's
innocent forever and the children are to blame. It's a real reflection of society and the attitude towards abuse I feel and also this obssesion with
celeberaties which really is so ridiculous.

Of course he did it, why else would he settle to the tune of MILLIONS of dollars. He had no boundaries where kids are concerned and even scarier, thought there
was nothing wrong with that.

The radio this morning is saying that this is the second day that the music died...first was Elivs. I'm sorry, but the man did what he did and it was
completely wrong of him. Just because he is dead, doesn't mean that we can now forget about the bad part and raise him up to be an icon for all future
time. I too have been struggling with this since the news came out yesterday.

Didn't think I would be the only one who felt this way, there must be survivors all over the world feeling this too, my heart goes out to them all. And
Amy, I totally agree with you re the payout! A feel such relief that others are of the same frame of mind as me.

Of course he's going to be immortalised - nothing is ever going to stop that. He's been cleared through the courts so whatever we feel really happened
he is going to be even more legendary now.
What I first felt when I heard the news was - at least 'his' children might have a chance of a normal upbringing. But when I sit and really think about it - they will never have a 'normal' upbringing. But will be cogs in the whole Jackson machine but hopefully without such an immediate frankly 'bizarre' parent. I'm not so sure about that...there's talk that the grandmother, Michael's mother will get them. they are nearly as bizarre as Michael IMO.

Hi all, i haven't posted here in ages but, sorry if this offends but- isn't the MJ memorial a celebration of a paedophile? I mean, come on, just look
at the just released pics of his kids, their eyes say it all...

I've just watched some of the memorial - and half expected him to walk on at the end = like a huge publicity stunt??

Didn't give the memorial a thought or the time of day. I turn the station when it comes on tv and I do not buy the newspapers either. I want nothing to do
with it and I do not wish to contribute to anyone's financial gain over the exploitation of the whole thing. I will be extremely happy when all this false
praise and immortalizing ends.

I've done the same Deb and actually had some great laughs reading a forum I go to called the dvd forums, all things film and technical which I've been
using for years and has a 90% male membership and therefore are NOT subtle in their feelings. In the general section theres a great thread where they are
totally in the 'what a load of over-reaction/he's not the god they make him out to be' vien, it's really helped me feel there is lots out there
who are not sycophants, sheep or worshippers as the media would have us believe. A perfect antidote to all this fawning and over-reaction.

I hope that I don't upset and offend people by saying this.... but I don't believe that he ever abused those children. I think he was a sad, lonley and
misunderstood indivdual who was persecuted and ridiculed his whole adult life and very fucked up by his childhood. I don't think he understood about
appropriate boundaries you should have with children (like NOT sharing your bed with them under any circumstances), and this was a big mistake because it
opened him up to being accused of abuse. But I don't believe he did it. I'm sorry, I just don't.

Anna, there are more people out there in the world that feel he didn't do it, than people who think he did. So it is perfectly fine for you to have that
opinion. Nothing was proved during the trial, so who are we to force our thoughts on anyone? Deep down, I really hope he didn't, but gut feeling says he
did. I guess we will all find out, years down the road, when those children in question grow up and find their own voice.
